matthew is such a sweet kid! he held a perfect and flawless service. his words were beyond his age (13).

he also had a smashing party. sooo much fun!! how many kids can say that he met jerry rice at his bar mitzvah? how cool is that?

found a few of these images while working on my albums (whew!). thought i would share on this rainy friday afternoon.

super sweet and cute couple. we had such great light and they were so fun to photograph. i was in one of my crazy creative moods today so to say i was a bit hyper is an understatement... i was really enjoying this shoot :)...

all photos were taken right from camera (nothing enhance). i will add some more of this shoot in the next couple of days.

not sure if you are following, but I have been documenting the sweet little miss caitlyn since she was only 3 weeks old. We have had a good thing going from the being – she looks right into the camera every time and gives me the sweetest smiles and bubbles that melt me.

we have photographed her every month and i cannot tell you how amazing it is to see her grow before my eyes (and camera). being a mother, i know how very fast that first year goes, and how totally important it is to get those little ones in front of a camera. trust me, i know all about being busy and tired and busy and tired... but this first year is such an amazing time. Try, if you can to get someone 9maybe me) to photograph you at least a couple of times that first year – it really is so important.

caitlyn and barbara, thank you so so so so much for sharing this first year (so far) with me -- i was actually crying like a big baby going through them because she is growing so fast. i know, i know -- i am the biggest wimp.... but think that is what makes my work so emotional charged :).

jack had such a great day! here are some of our superhero friends... thanks for joining us in the fight against crime.

so while i was driving around gg park looking for inspiration, i saw this super adorable couple strolling arm and arm. i pulled the car over and ask if i could photograph them. they were thrilled and i shot a couple off. we talked for a minute or so about my project and then exchanged business cards. turns out, the young man is a sculptor and she is children’s book writer. i felt so lucky and blessed to have been able to photograph them, even if it was only a couple of super quick images. hope to have the chance to do more photographs of them someday -- they are such sweet and adorable people.

it is always fun to do something different, at least different for me.

today i had the pleasure to photograph these lovely classical musicans. they wanted clean, modern and simple on a black background. i think that we nailed it!

i do not normally set up backdrops and lights and the whole sha-bang, but today i pulled out some old skillz of mine. i use to work with studio lighting all the time when i worked for the paper over 7 years ago (eeek time is flying) and forgot how different it is to shoot in such a controlled space.

hope i can hear them all play together someday, i am sure they would rock the house :).

we celebrated jack's 2nd b-day a little early because we were with family over the holidays. he really loved opening his gifts, riding the train, hanging out with family and especially LOVED eating his cake :).

we will have another party for the sf folks in a couple weeks. looking forward to more yummy cake!!
