we are all about it over here. jack has been talking about it non-stop. let's hope we get to actually see it.
"A near-total solar eclipse will be visible across Northern California during the late-afternoon hours of May 20. In Marin County the eclipse will begin at 5:15 p.m., reaching maximum darkness at 6:32 p.m. and ending at 7:40 p.m. The sun will set at 8:12 p.m.
A solar eclipse occurs when the moon passes between the earth and the sun, obscuring the image of the sun for viewers on earth. Sunday’s eclipse is an annular (“ring”) eclipse, a phenomenon that occurs when the moon’s apparent diameter is smaller than that of the sun. The moon on Sunday will appear to exclude about 94 percent of the sun’s light, said a spokesman from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. Maximum darkness will last for 4½ minutes."

i am getting ready for an art show to be held here in mill valley at a private home and i am mixing my mediums together / photography and painting. i am playing on the computer first to see what i am planning to do with the printed photographs. here are a few of my "sketches". you can see i am into pink and yellow still.
happy monday. i am feeling pretty wiped and drained creatively today. went out shooting but found it difficult and frustrating. it is amazing how such a thing can bring you down. hope to get out later this week to get some fun shooting done. here are a few images from my recent trip to jazz fest in new orleans. gritty black and whites is where i live. xoxo
